Managers responsible for selecting suppliers or responsible for purchasing decisions can use the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO's) brochure, 'ISO 9001 in the supply chain', to understand the different ways that suppliers can demonstrate conformity to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems – Requirements. The brochure also describes what you can do if things go wrong and you are dissatisfied with performance of your supplier.

Plastics are everywhere, and used in all parts of our lives – from agriculture to electronics to medical devices to packaging. Growing from 1.5 million tonnes in 1950 to 232 million tonnes in 2010, worldwide plastics use is expected to increase further by 3 – 4% a year.
In particular, rapid industrialisation in populated countries such as India and China has resulted in increasing demand.
