AS/NZS 1906.4:2010 Retroreflective materials and devices for road traffic control purposes - High-visibility materials for safety garments

Specifies the photometric, colorimetric and physical property requirements for high-visibility materials for outdoor daytime use, or retroreflective materials for use at night or in other dark conditions to be used for the manufacture of or for incorporation into industrial safety garments designed to be worn in situations where the wearer needs to be highly visible. Immersible water safety materials such as those used on personal flotation devices are not included.

Comments: Work is underway to update NZS 5433:2007 with the latest changes published by the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (UNRTDG), and changes introduced under the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996. A committee of technical experts has been established to oversee and advise on the necessary changes. A draft of amendments for public comment has been unavoidably delayed. Further details of dates for the release of a draft for public comment, and an estimated final publication date will announced as soon as possible.
