Heavy motor vehicle towing Standard – cited in Land Transport Rule

NZS 5446:2007, Heavy vehicle towing connections – Drawbeams and drawbars, was cited in Heavy Vehicles Land Transport Rule 31002/3 from April 2008.

The Heavy Vehicles rule states that a towing connection fitted to the rear of a vehicle recovery service vehicle used for recovery purposes on or after 1 October 2005 must be designed and constructed in accordance with New Zealand Standard 5446.
